SPICE MANTRAA GENERAL MANAGER
Spice Mantraa is the latest exciting new addition to the Beyond Dreams Corporation Holdings Inc. (BDC Holdings) group.
The genesis BDC Holdings was a start-up company and an entrepreneurial zeal for chasing the big dream. Today, within a span of two decades, BDC Holdings is a well-established, multi-million dollar global conglomerate. BDC is a 3500+ people strong Group comprising several successful companies with a diversified portfolio of operations spanning photography, souvenir imaging, retail, hospitality, communication and other service sectors.
BDCs latest foray is ‘Spice Mantraa’, a contemporary Indian cuisine restaurant with a global appeal, which opened its doors in Bali, Indonesia in September 2016. The group has plans to take the ‘Spice Mantraa’ concept across 6 countries in the immediate future.
BDC are looking to hire a dynamic ‘General Manager’ to drive the business in the right direction, initially in this this flagship outlet, then playing a key role in the aggressive expansion plans for the brand.
Job Purpose Summary
- As the General Manager you are responsible for ensuring that all areas within the Spice Mantra operations are properly developed and managed in a structured and professional manner
- To lead the multiple departments (kitchen, service, back of house, purchasing, accounting) in a cohesive nature to ensure optimum revenue generation
- To strengthen the operations to support the future expansion plans for additional outlets in Indonesia and throughout the rest of the Far East.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Oversee the complete operations of the busy restaurant and bar, covering kitchen, service, support, purchasing etc, including line management of senior restaurant managers
- Establish restaurant business plan by surveying restaurant demand, conferring with people in the community, identifying and evaluating competitors, preparing financial, marketing and sales projections
- Establish and achieve business annual financial budget forecasts and meet monthly revenue targets by exercising a constant control of operational expenses
- Source and close new revenue channels, including tour groups and hotels
- Attend and conduct regular operational meetings and briefings to ensure an open communication line with the team
- Conduct performance analysis of every key personnel as per policy
- Develop and implement revenue boosting sales activities
- Control and approve departmental purchase requests and store requisitions for operating material, food products and beverages etc
- Monitor department duty rota’s to ensure efficient manning at all times
- Review and approve all payroll related documents, at the end of the month prior to handing them over to accounts
- Conduct spot checks to ensure that all operations are done according to the full day service requirements
- Ensure the outlet is operating in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, in line with relevant policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications
More than 5 years’ experience in managing a F&B outlet is essential
Standalone restaurant as part of a group is preferred
Indian restaurant experience is an advantage but not a requirement
